A fine art nude photography annual retreat
I revisited my dawn shoot with Minh Ly for more consistency for our work at the rock pool.
Almost everyone was very kind to send in their snap shots this year, so we can show you what a week with us is like. The video footage in the beginning is just a normal day. For those of you who were attendees and want this video, just head over to Vimeo and download it….
Sorry about the title but I’m never really good at making titles. They always seem like overused platitudes. <insert Laugh here> On to the serious stuff. Eva and I did a mega hike to our location and then coasted down the hill to coffee and back to the house for some relaxing photos. I hope…
I hope that someday I wake up and say, “My god Tara, we are in our 80’s now and I’m still taking photos of you. Someone must be sick of us somewhere, but screw that person!” There are a lot of models that I feel that way about, though I’ve photographed Tara the longest. I…
This was the first thing we did when we arrived and I’m off on editing adventures now! I’ve skipped doing a little short video of everyone for the past couple of years. BUT! I made myself do it again this year because of this house and this sneaky little balcony walk. The house was rugged…
The entire time I was in Australia my home had been under mandatory evacuation orders from the fires in California. I just want to let people asking about my well being that I am indeed well. We had a wonderful time. This is the last image I made and the first image I’m posting. Model…
They have a coffee hut in the jungle. It’s the best thing ever. Just to get that out of the way. Saskia, Brooke and I had a beautiful day making Polaroids and then a hike to beauty. Thank you ladies – total gangsters! We even saw an actual wild Koala. He was so cute. He…
I have finished the last image from last years retreat just in time for this year’s retreat. Better late than never. This was the best location! Loved it there. Next week I’ll be back in Australia! See you soon!
The water looks like mercury to me. Shiny, metallic, a sort of glow. Cheyanne did great! This was a spontaneous night shoot and I’m so glad it happened. Ethereal water dreams …. Maybe I’ll spend the whole retreat in the water this year. hmm.
Tara and I have known each other since about 2004 and it’s always great to add some finesse to our body of work together. I love to work with a model over an extended period of time and be able to create new looks and new ideas. I look forward to continuing on that path….
Join us on another fantastic retreat!
