Studio Beach and Plants with Tara Tree

Tara and I have known each other since about 2004 and it’s always great to add some finesse to our body of work together. I love to work with a model over an extended period of time and be able to create new looks and new ideas. I look forward to continuing on that path. Quality not quantity springs to mind. Not that I don’t like working with new models! I only wish I could keep working with them like Tara and I have done, and so many other models I’ve worked with. You get to a point where you don’t have to talk much or direct much because each of you sort of knows what the other one is doing. It feels rather zen like. Not thinking, just doing.

I didn’t go to the beach up here in the Daintree the entire time we were here until the last day with Tara. There are CROCS in the ocean!!! But I found a little spot that didn’t seem too scary and we took 10 minutes to make some pictures in a mad dash before the crocodiles saw us. It seemed ok. There were people sitting in lounge chairs to our right and my rental truck was literally right there. I even dipped my toe in the water while Tara watched then she braved the same while I watched. A week later I read a post from the Cairns Post that a croc was spotted on the beach in this exact area. I don’t know if we were stupid or brave or what. But I’m glad we have the pictures! ha

Zoe, your photos with Tara serve to remind me of how much my life is richer for our relationship. Tara is among a group of folks who have become dear friends across the years but who would have never entered my life had it not been for the organization and events you created. These images of Tara are lovely. Be well my friend. George…..
